Interesting....
An interesting article from Mr Lakey, once again manageing to deliver some disparaging words regarding Friends Provident. Personally, when you consider a Critical Illness Policy in this much depth, should we not be focusing on selling the type of policy that has the highest liklihood of paying out above all other products - Income Protection!! A vastly undersold product that protect's lifestyles a lot better than a Critical Illness policy, with no Illness defitnitions to meet, you just have to be off work, is this not the most simplistic and best protection product available??

Bias against Friends Provident?
Mr (or Mrs) Protection Adviser clearly believes thatI have some bias against Friends Provident. This is not the case at all. In trying to explain the potential for a successful CI claim I have used FP as an example for the simple reason that they are an adviser favourite. For IP they are a very good office but for CI they are below average. I am not trying to sneak in a few low blows as I have told their top guys the same thing on many occasions. As for IP being a better plan - yes, undoubtedly this is the case. Unfortunately not everybody qualifies for IP whereas, health issues aside, everybody qualifies for CI. In any even, the article was on CI not on the best protection plan.
