Cirencester friendly has launched a tele-interviewing service to its Income Assured Plus product.

The service has been launched in partnership with MorganAsh, to improve the application process and reduce the risk of non-disclosure.

Applicants may now take part in a telephone interview with a specialist nurse from MorganAsh, acting on behalf of Cirencester friendly, who will gather details about their health and medical history.

This means that answers to health questions may be followed up by a nurse, often reducing the need to obtain doctor's reports, and so improving the application time.

The enhanced information should also reduce the risk of subsequent claims being contested for non-disclosure.

Paul Hudson, chief executive of Cirencester friendly, said: "Tele-interviewing is fast becoming the preferred approach for companies wishing to streamline their application process because it is faster and provides a greater depth of applicant information at the first stage.

"This also benefits the applicant because it minimises the risk that they will be rejected for non-disclosure."
