Protection expert Kevin Carr has set up Kevin Carr Consulting, which will provide consultancy, public relations, marketing and training services to the protection and wider financial services industry.

Carr will take up the role of chief executive of the Protection Review where he will work closely with the firm's co-founders, Peter Le Beau and Andy Couchman.

He will also become protection strategy consultant with distribution operations specialist F&TRC, while continuing his strong working relationship with PruProtect.

Carr says: " I have a long list of exciting new ideas and this new venture gives me the flexibility to inject greater variety into my work and focus on the unique skills I can bring to the market."

Justin Taurog, director of marketing and distribution at PruProtect, says: "We thank Kevin for his effort and success in helping to take the business to where it is today. We are pleased to be able to continue our successful working relationship with Kevin into the future."

Kevin Carr Consulting went live on 4 January 2010.
