Bright Grey has added to its simplified products offering with the launch of its Lifestyle Plus plan.
The offering is an extension of its Lifestyle plan and comes with total and permanent disability (TPD) as standard on life or critical illness (CI) version.
Advisers can also add a waiver of premium option, called Payment cover for sickness, to the plan.
In all the Lifestyle Plus product offers:
• up to £500,000 benefit for life cover, or life or critical illness cover,
• level, increasing or decreasing cover,
• and a signature free process.
The provider said clients can get on risk in 15 minutes and that premiums start from £5 a month.
Ian Smart, head of product development and technical support at Bright Grey, said advisers were beginning to utilise a simpler approach.
"There are a growing number of advisers selling protection who want flexible products without the intricacies of the menu product," he said.
"The addition of TPD and waiver of premium gives them that added flexibility and protection for their clients.
"We've already seen a marked increase in the number of advisers whose business model is more suited to going down the simplified products route, and with the retail distribution review (RDR) hitting, it's a market that's only going to get bigger," he added.

Simple or menu
Hi Bryan, it's a case of horses for courses. Not everyone needs an all singing and dancing menu product to meet their client's needs so we are simply giving advisers the choice. The Personal and Business Protection Menus remain available for those with more complicated needs which require a compreheinsive solution, with Lifestyle Plus available for those with more simple needs.
