Credit Suisse Asset Management has hired Daniel Draper as managing director and head of ETFs.
Draper will start his role based in London later this spring and will report to Oliver Schupp, who is head of beta strategies and co-head of the bank's ETF Steering Committee.
Schupp says: "Dan's extensive experience over the past decade in the development and trading of ETFs will be invaluable as we continue to grow this business."
He says Credit Suisse made "significant strides" in the expansion of its ETF platform last year, including the launch of 16 new funds in Switzerland, 17 funds in Italy and 16 funds in Germany.
He adds: "We also launched a physically backed Gold ETF in October 2009 which has attracted over $1.3bn since launch."
Draper joins the bank from Lyxor Asset Management, where he was managing director and Global Head of ETFs.
Prior to this, Draper was the director of UK and Ireland Business Development at iShares, the ETF arm of Barclays Global Investors owned by BlackRock.
