iShares has launched an ETF providing exposure to the Polish stock markets on NYSE Arca in the US.
The fund tracks the MSCI Poland Investable Market index, which is free-float adjusted and market capitalisation weighted.
The index measures the performance of the top 99% of equity securities listed on stock exchanges in Poland.
The top three sectors of the index are financials at 46%, energy at 13% and materials at 13%, as of the end of April.
iShares US head Michael Latham says: "The iShares MSCI Poland ETF provides investors with the opportunity to take greater advantage of Poland's economic growth, which is on a unique macro path compared to most other Eastern European countries."
He says iShares is expanding its single country offering as financial advisers are increasingly fine-tuning their clients' international exposure.
Latham adds as institutional investors become more tactical internationally, these ETFs can make it easier for them to access the markets and manage portfolios more efficiently.
