Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking (SGCIB) has appointed John Craven as head of professional client relationships for exchange-traded products (ETPs).

In his new role based in London, Craven will supervise the firm's professional investor relationships while continuing to develop its ETP business in the UK.

He will be responsible for increasing the awareness of the bank's ETPs among UK wealth managers and IFAs, and will help professional investors diversify their portfolios.

Craven will report to Alexandre Houpert, head of ETPs for the UK and Northern Europe.

Prior to joining the firm, Craven worked as head of retail structured products and capital markets for the EMEA region at Merrill Lynch.
