ETFM brings you a roundup of some of the week's listings and ETF flows.
Natixis is planning to list ETFs in the US after filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday. The filing is for an ETF on the Ossiam US Minimum Variance Net Return Index and an actively managed ETF.
The company already has ETF operations in Europe; its affiliate Ossiam made its first listings earlier this year, including an ETF tracking the Ossiam US Minimum Variance Net Return Index.
Although unable to comment on Natixis' plans for the US, a spokesperson for the company says: "We feel that ETFs provide many advantages to investors and are undergoing the necessary preparedness and due diligence needed in order to consider adding this solution to our current offerings."
Stoxx Europe 600 ETFs had outflows totalling US$397.8 million last week. Healthcare had the lion's share of the outflows ($85.3 mn) followed by chemicals with $70.9 mn. The telecom sector had inflows of $35.2 mn. At the end of the week assets in Stoxx sector ETFs were $8.2 billion.
iShares has launched an emerging markets small cap ETF. The fund listed on the New York Stock Exchange yesterday; it tracks the MSCI Emerging Markets Small Cap Index.
