Ethics of TCS

This is just one of the many shameful facts hidden inside the TCS's closet, which depict the real UNETHICAL practices of providers like this. I hope the customers/clients take cognizance of serious ethic related issues like this and not just get blinded by the excessive hype created by firms like TCS on their growth numbers etc.

If ever anyone was in any doubt this appointment really does confirm that these new very impersonal accounts under NEST will be absolute and complete rubbish. All the European contenders have (sensibly) bowed out. Why? Because they realise that with decent standards of administration it will be impossible to make a profit. So how can TCS? Easy – just watch the call centres spring up in India and Pakistan. After all it is Tata Consultancy Services – so why would you expect different? Now I am sure that some of the stuff contracted to India is well and efficiently done, the only problem is I (and other contemporaries ) have had no experience of anything other than absolutely hopeless service from these centres. So much so that several organisations now no longer have Asian call centres that interface with their customers (IFAs at least). Fidelity and the Pru to mention two. Those that still do are a byword for customer alienation and dissatisfaction – take BT as an example. So I wouldn’t have a smile on my face if I were you Mr. Jones. Can you imagine – only one firm even willing to tender – that in itself speaks volumes! In any other endeavour the product would be either changed or pulled. But then this is a bureaucratic invention – enough said.
