Simon Clamp - Integrity & Intellect

I was tremendously saddened to hear of the sudden death of Simon, who I have had the privelege of knowing in various guises over the years ranging from professionally in my previous career at Scottish Equitable to more recently through his passionate support of grass roots sport. Professionally, he was one of the very few senior execs in the insurance provider world in the 90s who would command respect through his professionalism and positive, open minded approach. At a time of old-school industry dinosaurs he was innovative in his approach to his staff and marketplace, and in his ability to see the potential in new technology and processes. Also, one of the biggest cricket fans you could ever encounter ofcourse.Genuinely one of the most impressive people in the industry that I met, and definitely one the nicest. My condolences and best wishes go to Sheila and his family.
