Yes, but how

David Agree with much of what you say but at a time when so many of the electorate are being swayed by TV debates what is the option. Do the great british public not realise that they will be voting to elect a government, not a President. Seems not, when you hear comments such as " I thought Nick Clegg came across well, so I will vote for the Lib Dems". Proportional Representation is flawed. Who wants to end up with an MP that you have never heard of, or whom you do not want at any price, just because their party polled the most votes nationally. I would accept a single transferable vote as, at least then, it produces an MP with local acceptance and with the highest overall number of votes.
