The recent rise in inflation has seen a boost in dividend yields. However, economic indicators suggest a bumpy ride ahead with the potential for both an inflation spiral and deflationary scenarios. How does dividend income compare with bond income under these opposing conditions? Diversifying to a more global portfolio can spread the risks but will it also dilute returns? Our panel will discuss these issues and give their opinions on what is the best strategy for generating income.
The Investing for Income panel includes:
Joshua Freedman - Co-manager of the BlackRock World Resources Income Fund, Blackrock
Carl Stick - Manager of the Rathbone Income Fund, Rathbone
Peter Brunt - Associate, Fund Research, Standard & Poor's
