2011 has been the most challenging year for investors with markets driven by the twin challenges of dithering politicians and slowing global growth. So will the New Year bring better returns for investors? 2012 will in part be affected by the election cycle with a number of major countries going to the polls including the US, France and Russia, but against this backdrop growth in the developed economies is likely to slow or even reverse.
Can the emerging economies such as China offer investors a potential to make positive returns, and will 2012 be the year of equities, which have disappointed for the last decade. This week's Conjecture will debate all these issues and allow listeners to ask questions live to the panel.
The Economic Outlook panel includes:
Julian Chillingworth - CEO, Rathbone Unit Trust Management
Robert Quinn - Chief European Equity Strategist, S&P Capital IQ
