As investors start to take more risk and ponder where to invest the cash they have built up over the past months, emerging markets could be one of the main beneficiaries. However, questions still hang over many of the main markets as election year threatens to create more volatility. Managers are also divided on the prospects for China with some warning its economy faces a number of challenges in 2012. Our panel will discuss these issues as well as give their opinion on the headwinds and tailwinds facing emerging markets over the coming months.
The Global Emerging Markets panel included:
Kevin Daly - Portfolio Manager on the Emerging Market Debt team, Aberdeen Asset Management
David Cornell - Principal Adviser, Ocean Dial
Alec Young - Global Equity Strategist, S&P Capital IQ
