Scottish Equitable is taking pensions to the IFA once again with its biggest ever series of Pension Roadshows being held at 19 venues up and down the country during November and December.

This winter's roadshows - presented by Stewart Ritchie, pensions development director and Margaret Craig, pensions development manager - should provide intermediaries with technical and legislative information and a forum to discuss topical pension issues and opportunities, including:

·Stakeholder and the post-October world

·Compulsory pensions

·Transfer regulations

·Top-ten IFA pension questions

·Pensions sharing on divorce

·Statutory Money Purchase Illustrations

The presentation will also include a roundup of topical issues such as pensions simplification, pension credit, annuities and the age 75 debate and the Myners/minimum funding requirement proposals. The session will conclude with an opportunity to put questions to the speakers.

The 19 venues will have either morning or afternoon sessions (or both, if venues and numbers are large enough) and are currently scheduled as follows:

Over 4500 IFAs attended Scottish Equitable pension roadshows last year so an additional four roadshows have been added to the Autumn series in a bid to attract record numbers.

The roadshows are free to IFAs and last approximately two hours and carry accreditation with CPD points for both the PIA and PMI.
