Liverpool Victoria has added a series of enhancements to its point of sale software system for intermediaries.

The system, an updated version, was originally launched last May and now enables intermediaries to complete a fact-find within 75 minutes.

Liverpool Victoria has also added a facility enabling the automatic production of a suitability letter to clients, cutting down on the administrative burden placed on intermediaries.

The point of sale system, which was designed in-house, works in conjunction with MS2M software.

It incorporates a file upload and download feature, so intermediary users can upload information into their group's main system or download fact-finds and the like from the group's central IT system to a laptop for home visits, for example.

Users are also automatically linked into a web-based diary management system and a regulatory control that monitors the quality and quantity of advice.

Jon Sandham, national field sales manager of Liverpool Victoria, said that since the launch of the point of sale system, the group's sales figures have risen from £600,000 in 1999 to more than £5.3m in 2001.

Sandham added that the point of sale system enables intermediaries to continue offering face-to-face advice, while easing the time management and administrative burden.
