Adviser firm AWD Group has appointed Robert Organ as finance director for UK business.
Organ, a qualified chartered accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, joins AWD with 16 years in financial services behind him.
Previously, Organ was regional director at AMP in Australia, where he has spent the last six years in various senior roles, including chief financial officer.
Prior to this he was at PricewaterhouseCoopers in both London and Sydney, where his responsibilities included audit and consulting roles, working with various financial organisations.
Robert will be based in London and replaces Doug Richards who leaves AWD at the end of September 2007.
Mike Kirsch, AWD Group chief executive, says: “Not only is Robert a well qualified and experienced finance director but his first hand experience of the development in the Australian market will be of great benefit to us.
“Robert is a significant addition to the senior management team as we look to develop our business and meet the challenges ahead.”
