The ifs School of Finance has joined forces with the University of Surrey to offer a new Masters degree in Financial Services Management.
The postgraduate qualification, which has been validated at Level 7 in the QAA's framework for Higher Education Qualifications, will give students the dual award of the MSc in Financial Services Management and Chartered Associateship of ifs School of Finance.
Due to start in October 2009, the course will be a one-year, full time programme providing a mix of both academic and practical learning for those wanting to pursue a career in the financial services industry. All modules will be taught through intensive face-to-face teaching sessions, lectures and seminars.
Martin Day, director of higher education at the ifs School of Finance, says the qualification is a "tremendous opportunity" for anyone wishing to enhance their skills or pursue a career in the financial services industry.
"Successful completion of the course will allow those who wish to pursue a career in financial services to clearly distinguish themselves from those around them.
"Not only will they gain key skills and benefit from contextualised learning from two globally renowned providers of financial education, but the ifs Chartered Associateship is a mark of quality that is recognised right across the financial services sector."
