AXA Framlington will rename its Mark Tinker-run £119.1m Managed Growth offering to the Global Opportunities fund.
The firm says the change, effective 18 February, better reflects the fund’s investment objective and Tinker’s investment style.
Tinker has 20 years experience in equity strategy and took control of the fund in September 2007.
“We made the decision to change the name of the Fund to AXA Framlington Global Opportunities fund in order to show the way the fund is currently managed,” AXA Investment Managers UK retail sales head Rob Bailey says.
“Mark adopts a top-down analysis of global markets and economies in order to identify a number of key themes and ‘tail winds’ from which he then seeks out investment opportunities through bottom up stock picking.
“Mark invests with conviction within the portfolio, through his own analysis, and the alpha he is able to generate is through his stock selection.”
