Mortgage Next has launched a debt management facility which appointed representatives of its network and directly authorised brokers can promote as additional services.

The scheme, which has been developed with specialist debt management firm Debt Distress, has been designed to provide intermediaries with a white-label debt management website which offers access to comprehensive marketing support.

Mortgage Next says brokers will be able to promote a specialist debt management service as a result with various options being covered from debt consolidation through to insolvency advice and support as well as remortgage solutions.

Depending on the client’s financial circumstances, they will either be given professional debt management support from a qualified adviser, in which case the broker will be paid a referral fee or, if remortgaging is the most suitable solution, the client will be referred back to the broker who can provide mortgage advice.

Justine Tomlinson, marketing director at Mortgage Next, says the provision of debt management services and sub-prime leads have featured regularly during conversations with its appointed representative members.

“With UK personal debt now exceeding £1trn, debt management is an important extension to the financial advice services they already offer their clients. I have no doubt this service will be warmly welcomed by intermediaries,” he adds.

Brokers requiring further information about the service, should speak to their local Mortgage Next regional sales manager, or phone 01883 333100 and ask for the new business team.
