The timetable and structure of the RDR will remain unchanged, the FSA says, despite announcing a major restructure of its retail division.
It says while RDR head Dan Waters will step down from his current role as head of retail policy to head up a new unit, the remainder of the team will remain unchanged.
Waters will head up the retail conduct risk division - previously part of the retail policy unit - which will enable the FSA "to focus more on ensuring firms are achieving the right consumer outcomes".
The FSA says it is in the process of appointing a director to replace Waters in retail policy and is not confining its search internally.
"Nothing will be affected on that [RDR] front," a spokesman says. "The people working on the RDR exist as a team and that will all remain exactly the same."
Waters's change of role follows Amanda Bowe's move away from the RDR team last July. Treating customers fairly (TCF) director Sarah Wilson also resigned last month.
