Novia will offer passively-managed funds from Vanguard Investments on its platform.

A total of 11 Vanguard funds will be available following adviser demand for the vehicles.

The UK funds available are: the FTSE UK Equity Index fund, FTSE UK Equity Income Index fund, FTSE Developed World ex-UK Equity Index fund, FTSE Developed Europe ex UK Equity Index fund and US Equity Index fund.

Irish funds include: the Vanguard Japan Stock exchange fund, Pacific ex-Japan Stock Index fund, Emerging Markets Stock Index fund, UK Investment Grade Bond Index fund, UK Government Bond Index fund and Global Bond Index fund.

Vanguard oversees more than £320bn in equity and bond index mandates worldwide, and has more than three decades of index management experience.

"These funds allow advisers to gain global exposure for their clients backed by a fund manager that manages over $1.3trn in assets," says Bill Vasilieff, chief executive officer at Novia.

Tom Rampulla, managing director of Vanguard Investments UK, says: "We know that Novia's advisers are already placing significant amounts in passive investments and we are, therefore, very pleased they will be offering our range to their professional intermediaries."
