Skandia has appointed Andy Davies as director of adviser sales and Steve Powell as director of corporate partners.

Davies and Powell will take over responsibility for Skandia's business consultants who work with advisers.

Former director of sales, national accounts at Skandia, Powell has been at the company for 16 years, having entered the industry as a broker consultant at Sun Life Assurance.

Davies, who has also been at Skandia for 16 years, was the company's UK regional director and also area director (North) and regional director (Manchester).

Peter Mann, chief development officer, says: "As we work to evolve our support for advisers, Andy and Steve's experience and knowledge will be essential.

"They will help in carrying forward the best of our established services as well as bringing in-depth understanding of advisers' businesses as we introduce new services to meet the changing needs of advisers. I look forward to having Andy's and Steve's wise counsel as part of my executive team."
