AXA Wealth is realigning its sales team to reflect the growing importance advisers are attaching to platforms and investment.

The new structure will see the establishment of two separate sales channels; a platform and investment team as well as an IFA distribution sales team.

The IFA distribution team will focus on promoting AXA's enhanced single pension, Family Suntrust and the Elevate Pension Investment Account, in addition to offshore bonds.

AXA says the restructuring was prompted by adviser feedback and also reflects the success of AXA Wealth's platform, Elevate, which has £320m funds under management.

The company says the realignment is also part of a strategy which places investment company Architas Multi-Manager at the heart of its offering. Since launch just over a year ago, Architas has £2bn under management.

"I believe AXA Wealth's investment and platform expertise and capability will provide strong differentiation in the marketplace as it evolves its proposition to ensure it continues to support and prepare clients and advisers for tomorrow's world," says David Thompson, managing director of investments and distribution, AXA Wealth.

In September, AXA announced the creation of a new wealth business under the umbrella name AXA Wealth.
