Scottish Life is adding Brewin Dolphin to its panel of discretionary fund managers available through its pension portfolio.

Royal London's pension arm says the new investment option - available as part of the self-invested options within Pension Portfolio - is being offered in response to adviser demand.

Brewin Dolphin joins Cazenove Capital Management, Deutsch Bank Private Wealth Management and Rathbones on the Scottish Life panel.

Samantha Scotland, technical & research manager at Scottish Life, says: "The DFM option gives them access to specialist fund managers who provide a professional investment service, taking the responsibility for the investments in the portfolio."

The Brewin Dolphin Group manages over £17bn of funds for over 130,000 clients; £10bn on a discretionary basis.
