Gillam will promote the Chelmsford-based firm's discretionary asset management services to IFAs in the region.
He joins from Blue Sky Asset Management where he was business development manager. Prior to that, he was at Cazenove Capital Management.
Ashcourt Rowan CEO Mark Cheshire says: "IFAs play an important and influential role in advising individuals and it is important they are able to best benefit from the expertise, experience and range of services Ashcourt Rowan is able to provide."
