Financial network runs RDR-ready roadshows

IFA network Financial Ltd is hosting a technical roadshow designed to help advisers prepare for the RDR.

From the 19 to the 26 of March the roadshow will run at six venues across the country covering areas such as adviser charging and professional qualifications.

The events, which are free and open to all IFAs, will include talks by various product providers, research firms and the IFS School of Finance.

Participants include M&G talking about emerging markets while Invesco Perpetual will look at the recent economic situation and the effect this is having on the markets in general.

Financial's head of training, Catherine Court says: "Both of these subjects will be useful for anyone studying for the RDR, either through CII or IFS, as it looks as though advisers will need a better general knowledge of the economic background and investment markets in the future."

Aviva will discus opportunities to increase business in the often overlooked group health market.

Finally, Friends Provident is running two sessions on business protection and trusts.

There will also be up to 18 trade stand holders at each event who will be available for one-to-one chats. These include Bupa, The Mortgage Alliance, Select & Protect, Defaqto, Durell, Bennett Gould, Shepherds Friendly Society, Royal Liver, Prudential, ifs School of Finance, BuildStore, Leadbay, Legal & General and Assureweb.
