head-in-hands

Someone, somewhere, is this morning working as a sales, lending and vision executive (spot the acronym). But what is the strangest job title you have ever had?

IFAonline has scoured the employed world for funny finance-related job names and there are a few corkers:

  • Sales, lending and vision executive (SLAVE)
  • Direct debit, membership and professional development stock and credit administrator
  • Worldwide marine asset financial analyst
  • Systems architect
  • Organisational psychologist
  • Manager of green
  • Change catalyst
  • Product evangelist
  • Cash relation officer
  • Information contextualiser

All ludicrous, yet rather brilliant. Our favourite, though, is not directly finance-related:

  • Welcoming agent and telephone intermediary

Otherwise known as a receptionist.

Have you ever had a peculiar job title or description? Let us know and we'll publish the best of them.

Well.........

Nothing for me, but banks seem to have strange titles for some roles - they call their salespeople "advisers".....peculiar because they don't. They flog or tell the customer that "they have chosen xxx....". Tin hat on ready for incoming......

Odd Job Titles

No really odd job titles for me either (unless you call a Paraplanner odd hum!!) however I have just been speaking to a "Customer Experience Adviser" at one of the larger product providers!! Do you think they paid someone alot of money to come up with that title? Maybe a Make Up Weird Job Titles Consultant??.....

Crazy

How about FSA chief executive!!! I have never had a particularly odd job title before but some of my friends have. Some of the above are laughable.
