An IFA in Exeter is teeing off a new chapter in his life as he sets about writing a book on golfing in the South West.

Jez Gee, managing director of Russell Nash Consultants, will exchange helping clients manage their finances with aiding novice golfers play the perfect round of golf.

As part of his project, Gee is looking to establish the most popular 18 golf holes in Devon and Cornwall, as voted for by the public on his website.

He will then showcase the fantasy 18-hole golf course by playing all holes until achieving a par at each one.

"The book will answer the question of how somebody who is not very good at golf can play the perfect round," says Gee. ""My intention is I will have a full 18-hole scorecard full of pars, or dare I say better."

"There have been so many golf books written by professional golf players but I want to celebrate the fact you can enjoy something without being very good at it."

Furthermore, he intends to expand his project into a sociological study of golfing culture.

"I am a council house boy and grew up thinking golf was the preserve of the middle classes, with business deals being concluded on the golf course and I now want to put that stereotype to the test."

Gee's adventure is set to kick-off on 8 April, coinciding with the opening day of the Masters at Augusta.

Russell Nash Consultants is a one-man band specialising in retirement planning, with a client base of 200.
