Towry Law has been granted an interim injunction against six former Edward Jones advisers accused of soliciting its clients.

The firm says it also preparing for other legal actions against former Edward Jones employees.

Edward Jones Limited was wholly acquired by Towry Law in November last year, and its ex-advisers signed contracts stating they would not solicit relevant business from its clients.

The High Court granted the injunction and a trial date has been set for the first available date after 14 July 2010.

Andrew Fisher, chief executive of Towry Law, says: "We will take every action available to us to protect the interests of our shareholders and our clients.

"Misusing confidential data is not, in our opinion, ever acceptable and we are currently preparing a number of similar actions against other former employees of Edward Jones."
