Sesame Bankhall Group has launched an online qualifications tool to help members map out an examination route to be RDR-ready.

My Qualifications has been designed for those following the CII's Diploma route and aims to help advisers develop a structured learning programme, including a gap analysis based on exams and credits already achieved.

A short questionnaire allows members to assess what additional qualifications are needed to get them to the required QCF Level 4 as stipulated by the RDR.

The tool then produces a personalised examinations route for those advisers following the CII's modular examination path. Sesame says it is working on an alternative tool for those taking different routes to Level 4.

"Regardless of the political and regulatory environment, we believe that higher professional standards are a fact of life and we do not expect any change in the direction of travel, " says Sesame Bankhall COO Stephen Young.

"We are also reaching a pivotal point for advisers where they need to engage in this process or risk running out of time."

The new interactive tool has been developed in association with Unicorn Training. Managing director Neill McWilliams says: "There is an onus on support service providers to not only help advisers to understand what they need to do to obtain QCF Level 4 status, but also help them to achieve it.

"What really differentiates this solution is the wide-ranging support content available, including e-learning and assessments provided by the CII."
