Sheffield-based Burley Financial Services has taken an equity stake in Nucleus, becoming the IFA-owned wrap’s 75th member firm.

The four-strong IFA firm specialises in advice on taxation and trust planning, pension transfers, pensions and employee benefits.

"Nucleus was particularly attractive to us due to its RDR-ready status and cost effective pricing structure - allowing us to concentrate on finding the best solution for our clients' needs," says director Steven Burley.

"What is more the membership structure of the Nucleus proposition allows us to have our say in the future of the platform and this was important to us."

Nucleus recorded its first profitable month in April, the break-even point coming just under three-and-a-half years since launch.
