Nucleus has appointed a wrap operations director and technical operations manager as part of an ongoing recruitment drive.

Former Standard Life platform investments manager Jeff Spence joins as wrap operations director while Richard Evans, previously IT manager at digital exchange LeadX, has been appointed technical operations manager. Both report to chief operations officer Andrew Smith.

"These appointments are further confirmation of our desire to recruit the brightest talent in the retail financial services industry and are all significant additions as we seek to execute our growth strategy," says CEO David Ferguson (pictured).

The double appointment is part of a hiring drive which has seen the team grow from 28 to 41 over the past six months. The IFA-owned wrap says the new hires will bolster operations as it enters a period of accelerated growth.

Earlier this month, Ferguson told IFAonline the wrap is beginning to gain major traction in the UK market and is gaining ground on the big platforms.
