Former Park Row sales and marketing director Carey Shakespeare has joined Brooks Macdonald Asset Management (BMAM) as head of marketing.
BMAM says Shakespeare will lead the development and implementation of the company's marketing strategy as it develops its propositions in the run-up to RDR.
Prior to his role at Park Row, Shakespeare also worked for Berkeley Berry Birch, Millfield and Inter-Alliance. This is his first foray into asset management.
Nick Holmes, joint managing director of BMAM, says: "We are delighted to have recruited someone with Carey's extensive experience and reputation.
"He has a deep knowledge of financial services distribution and in particular, the IFA sector and the issues surrounding the industry as we move closer to the RDR deadline."
Shakespeare adds: "I have been watching the asset management space for sometime and my recent consultancy assignments gave me the utter conviction that BMAM is one of the most IFA centric and service oriented investment managers out there."
