Amanda Bowe - remember her? - was appointed this week by one of the UK's largest life offices. But who?

Mark Cheshire has been promoted from interim to full-time group CEO of fund management group Syndicate Asset Management. Cheshire will continue in his role as chief executive of Syndicate's wholly-owned wealth management division, Ashcourt Rowan.

Amanda Bowe, former head of the RDR at the FSA, has joined Aegon UK as group compliance director. Bowe joins from the Consumer Financial Education Body (CFEB).

Ian Christie has been appointed business development director (north) at Close Asset Management. He joins from Mountbatten Financial Management, where he worked as client services director.

Adrian Nash has been appointed head of wealth propositions at Zurich Financial Services Group, reporting to chief growth officer UK Life David Etherington. He joins from Macquarie where he was head of product and proposition for wraps and wealth management.

Grainger Thomas and Alan Falkingham have joined Axa Wealth's intermediary sales team.

David Child has been appointed non-executive chairman of Baigrie Davies LifeSearch. Most recently, Child was managing director of The Exchange.

Cecelia Kempler has resigned from Aegon's supervisory board before the expiry of her contract in 2012 due to health reasons.

Gurmukh Hayre, pensions partner at KPMG, will head up the firm's new corporate pensions advice practice, KPMG DC Solutions.
