Certified Financial Planners (CFP) will have access to gap-fill sessions in nationwide events organised by the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP).
The sessions, which have been developed by JP Morgan Asset Management, will cover financial services, regulation and ethics, investment principles and risk categories.
Each carry four hours' structured CPD, are free of charge and will take place in 12 regional venues around the country.
Sue Leech, education director at the IFP, said: "The attraction of this approach is in its simplicity as well as content.
Stuart Podmore, head of UK Academy at JP Morgan Asset Management, said the sessions are applicable to all professionals seeking to meet the RDR minimum qualification requirements.
"Though full proposals of the RDR are yet to be set in stone, one thing we know for sure is that advisers and planners will need to raise their level of qualifications," he said.
More information about the dates and locations of the sessions can be found here.
