AWD Chase de Vere has taken on 17 advisers who previously worked for now-defunct Barclays Financial Planning.
CEO Stephen Kavangh (pictured) said the company saw the closing down of the Barclays arm in January - shortly after it had been fined £7.7m for giving poor investment advice to customers - as a recruitment opportunity.
He added the company was looking to take on more advisers in 2011.
