After a total of 14 years with Fidelity, Peter Hicks will leave the company next month. Here's our round-up of this week's big industry movers...

Fidelity

Peter Hicks, head of UK equity product management, will leave the company to pursue other interests at the beginning of July.

He originally worked with Fidelity between 1986 and 1991 before re-joining in 2003. The former head of retail sales at FundsNetwork was promoted to his current role last year.

Elsewhere within Fidelity, David White, current head of UK retail marketing, has taken on the role of head of Fidelity FundsNetwork, while head of platform sales Julian Webb will head up a new DC and Workplace Saving Business.

FSA

Graeme Ashley-Fenn, head of the authorisations division, has left the regulator for personal reasons. Sharon Campbell, who works under him, takes over on an interim basis.

Aviva

John McFarlane is being lined up to replace Lord Sharman of Redlynch as chairman from June 2012. Meanwhile, Mark Noble, current sales and marketing director of Aviva UK Health, has been promoted to health and group risk director.

Bestinvest

Lee Dooley, a former executive director at St James's Place Wealth Management, has been appointed director of direct and advisory services.

Man Group

The alternative asset manager has hired Warren Shiels, previously head of intermediary sales at Gartmore, as director, UK retail.

Parmenion

The investment and technology firm has appointed Jeanette Cook, who joins from Hargreaves Lansdown, as head of compliance.

Barnett Waddingham

Tony Moore will head marketing and development for Barnett Waddingham SIPPs when he joins from Axa Wealth on 1 July.

Avelo

The technology solutions provider has appointed James Thomson as its new chief technology officer.
