Former Skandia CEO Nick Poyntz-Wright has been appointed as the new head of life insurance at the Financial Services Authority(FSA).
Based within the Conduct Business Unit, he will report to Clive Adamson, director of the FSA's supervision division, and will take up his role on 1 September.
Poyntz-Wright spent 21 years at Skandia, including six as the company's CEO, and stepped down from his position in April last year.
The Conduct Business Unit was set up within the FSA earlier this year as part of the transition to the new regulatory regime.
It will evolve into the Financial Conduct Authority by the end of 2012 and will be headed up by former Hong Kong financial regulator Martin Wheatley from 1 September.
