Legal & General Investment Management has hired Martin Reeves from AllianceBernstein to replace David North as manager of its £1.9bn High Income trust.
Reeves, director of global fixed income credit research at AllianceBernstein, will join LGIM next month as head of high yield.
Current head of high yield North has been on extended sick leave since earlier this year and will focus on asset allocation responsibilities upon his return.
Andrew Strange is to step down as policy director of the Association of Independent Financial Advisers (AIFA) after nearly five years at the organisation.
Tommy Young has been appointed chief operating officer for Aegon UK's life and pensions business. Young replaces Simon Skinner who was appointed chief executive of Aegon Ireland on 8 August.
Bluefin Corporate Consulting has appointed John Hunt, previously sales director at Aetna Global Benefits, to their international benefits team.
Old Mill has recruited Jamie Thompson to its team of financial planners. He was previously an offshore account manager at Aegon.
IFA network FINANCIAL has appointed Brian Galvin as sales and development director. He has previously worked as head of intermediary partnerships for Friends Provident (now Friends Life).
MetLife has appointed Paul Frankland as sales and development manager to head up its expansion in Jersey. Frankland previously worked for Aviva.
