Barclays Wealth has linked with Intrinsic Financial Services to become the firm’s preferred supplier of structured investments.

The partnership will see Barclays Wealth work alongside Intrinsic to help it offer a broader structured products investment proposition and build its presence in the space.

Barclays Wealth's Wealthbuilder fixed term deposit will be the first product on offer under the partnership.

Wealthbuilder is primarily aimed at investors seeking security that capital will be rapid in full at maturity - irrespective of market performance -whilst still offering the potential of a 5% annual return for six years.

A fixed return of 5% is ‘locked in' for each anniversary on which the FTSE 100 index is at or above the initial index level. The return is payable at the end of six years with the maximum return being 30%.

"Through our relationship with Intrinsic Financial Services we believe investors will have access to an increased number of financial solutions, including the newly launched Wealthbuilder, which will help them benefit from their investments," said Barclays Wealth head of IFA sales Bryan Parkinson.
