Nucleus IFAs have turned their backs on equities in preference for bond funds amid recent market volatility.
Dimensional Global Short Bond Fund, managed by Garrett Quigley, was the fastest growing fund and most popular holding on the IFA-owned platform over the third quarter, knocking Legal & General Index-Linked Gilt Index off top spot.
In addition to bond funds , low-cost index funds proved popular in the quarter, with Vanguard FTSE UK Equity Index and HSBC FTSE 100 Index Fund both featuring in the top ten fastest growing funds.
"These latest figures show as market volatility continues, Nucleus member IFAs and their clients are not only favouring bonds over equities, but are also making greater use of the wide range of low cost index funds available, " said chairman of the Nucleus investment strategy team and Intelligent Capital managing director.
