Fidelity Fundsnetwork has unveiled a shortlist of 16 funds approved by Old Broad Street Research (OBSR) as suitable for Junior ISAs.

The new tax wrapper for saving for under-18s will be launched on 1 November and Fundsnetwork is one of only a handful of platforms which will offer them immediately.

The approved funds have been placed in four categories - conservative, balanced, growth and adventurous - depending on their risk objectives, profiles and styles.

Paul Richards, head of sales at Fundsnetwork, said "The OBSR selected Junior ISA funds aim to help advisers as they research appropriate and suitable funds for their customers, with the knowledge that the funds selected by OBSR have been thoroughly reviewed and selected on an independent basis, by a market leading company."
