Chancellor George Osborne has announced the 2012 Budget will be held on Wednesday 21 March.
He also said he would respond to Sir John Vickers' report on banking with a statement in Parliament on 19 December.
Last week, Osborne confirmed in his Autumn Statement that growth forecasts had been revised down and borrowing would increase.
