The Financial Services Authority (FSA) is to hold a series of retail distribution review (RDR) implementation surgeries across the country, begininng at the end of this month.
A total of 110 sessions will be held across 11 locations and the free events will be open to more than one adviser per firm.
The FSA said the surgeries would provide an opportunity for advisers to discuss their progress, business models and the steps they need to take to be ready for the 31 December deadline.
In a speech to the Personal Finance Society conference in October, Linda Woodall, head of investments department at the FSA, explained how the surgeries would be crucial to maintaining the industry's momentum.
"These will be one-to-one sessions, allowing you to discuss the progress you have made towards implementing the RDR within your business," she added.
"Supervisors will give you feedback on your business model and ask questions to see if you have considered all the necessary areas."
The events follow a series of regional RDR roadshows which were attended by over 2,300 advisers between April and September.
The surgeries will be held on the following dates:
31 Jan-1 Feb - Canary Wharf, London
7-8 Feb - Basildon, South East
7-8 Mar - Leicester, East Midlands
21-22 Mar - Birmingham, West Midlands
