Today: Scottish Widows Investment Partnership

Topic: What To Do After a Poor Year? Not Every Year Can Be Vintage...

After the volatility in the markets over the last few years they will discuss why investing for the long term is essential, how fund manager experience really does count and how even for the greatest fund managers, great years can follow bad.

Mark Harries, investment director at SWIP
Speaking at Newcastle, Manchester & Cambridge

Mark has more than 26 years' investment experience managing private client portfolios and multi-manager funds. As head of Cazenove Multi-Manager, Mark was a pioneer of the multi-asset approach in MM funds. His specialist expertise is in alternative asset classes, particularly commodities and hedge funds. He is also an expert at fund selection across the portfolio.

Simon Wood, investment director at SWIP
Speaking at London, Birmingham & Bristol

Simon Wood joined SWIP in December 2007. He has 24 years investment experience. Previously, he was co-manager of the multi-manager funds for Cazenove and M&G. Prior to that, Simon was head of the discretionary management service with AXA Investment Managers, with responsibility for both asset allocation and fund selection.

The fund5live events have been CPD-accredited by the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP). Each event is worth five CPD points to attendees.
