fund5live, the CPD-accredited investment roadshow for advisers, begins next week...
Six events will be held at a range of venues across the country this month (see below for dates), with presentations from some of the biggest names in fund management, representing a range of asset classes.
Speakers include Kames Capital's Stephen Snowden, Aberdeen Asset Management's Ben Pakenham and Mark Sanders, SWIP's Simon Wood and Mark Harries, and UBS's Helen Roughsedge.
Topic: Solving the Income Puzzle
Interest rates remain at an historic low of 0.5% and the Bank of England has shown no signs that they will increase rates any time soon.
This, combined with high levels of government debt, concerns over a double-dip recession, pressures on dividends and higher inflation expectations, create a challenging environment for advisers in meeting clients' income requirements.
During this session we will look at how diversified portfolios of investments can be structured to contend with these issues and provide advisers with sustainable income solutions to meet their clients' needs. We will also discuss our solution - the S&P rated UBS Multi-Asset Income Fund.
Speaker: Helen Roughsedge, senior strategist at UBS, (speaking at all events)
Helen Roughsedge is a member of UBS's Global Investment Solutions (GIS) team.
She is responsible for communicating the group's multi-asset capability and developing tailored solutions for clients.
Helen joined UBS Global Asset Management in August 2010. Prior to this, she worked at AXA Rosenberg as a portfolio manager where she was responsible for client relationships as well as oversight and analysis of segregated portfolios. Her previous roles include product specialist at Man Investments, European equity strategist at ABN Amro, client portfolio manager at JP Morgan and investment writer at JP Morgan. Helen's career in the industry began in 1995 as a trainee chartered accountant and auditor at KPMG.
Helen holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).
The fund5live events have been CPD-accredited by the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP). Each event is worth five CPD points to attendees.
