Jim Reeve, chief executive of Aegon-owned national IFA Positive Solutions, has left the business to pursue alternative opportunities in financial services.

Peter Coleman, who joined the business as commercial director last year, takes over the role of CEO with immediate effect. His appointment remains subject to regulatory approval.

Reeve joined Positive Solutions in September 2007.

Patrick Gale, Aegon executive chairman of distribution, said: "I would like to thank Jim for his significant contribution to Positive Solutions over the last four-and-a-half years and I wish him well in his future career."
