A popular investment class but how do you gain access?

In the past year, Europe has overtaken North America in the number of ETF offerings and the market is expected break the $1trn mark this year. ETFs offer transparent, flexible and low-cost investment, but as they do not pay commission, are non-fee-based IFAs looking as closely at ETFs as they should?

This debate highlighted the misconceptions and concerns of intermediaries on issues such as the construction of ETFs, counterparty risk and illiquidity. It also looked at innovation in the ETF space such as inverse, leveraged and 'active' ETFs.

This Interactive Financial Adviser panel includes:

David Bower - Head of Country Marketing, iShares

Reid Steadman - Global Head of ETF Licensing, S&P Index Services

Deborah Fuhr - Managing Director, Global Head of ETF Research and Implementation Strategy, Barclays Global Investors

Hector McNeil - Head of Sales and Marketing, ETF Securities
