Here is a breakdown of the key moves and promotions this month

NAME: ALISON MAHONEY

TO: WALBROOK GROUP

FROM: PROMOTION

Alison Mahoney has been made associate director at Walbrook Group. She joined Walbrook in 2004 as senior manager for the private client team and has more than 20 years' experience in the local trust industry. She will head up the Guernsey-based fiduciary team, where she will continue to work with clients and maintain a business development role.

NAME: JOHN HESKETT

TO: HEARTWOOD

FROM: BARING asset management

John Heskett has been appointed chairman of Heartwood. He comes from Baring Group where he was chief investment officer for Baring Asset Management's fixed income division. Heskett spent more than 30 years at the group, working in corporate finance, banking and asset management. Heartwood, formerly Cripps Portfolio, now employs 70 staff and provides wealth management services, involving integrated investment, tax, retirement and estate planning for ultra and high-net-worth individuals.

NAME: DAVID ZOBEL

TO: BLUEBAY ASSET MANAGEMENT

FROM: DEUTSCHE ASSET MANAGEMENT

BlueBay Asset Management has recruited David Zobel as a principal of the firm and head of hedge fund strategies. He joins from Deutsche Asset Management where he was a managing director, responsible for the group's European fund of hedge funds (FoHF) business. Zobel founded Deutsche's FoHF business, which was based in the Asia-Pacific region, in 1996. In his new role, he will develop hedge fund strategies and structured products for BlueBay.

NAME: MIKE YOUNG

TO: BARING ASSET MANAGEMENT

FROM: COFUNDS

Mike Young has taken up the role of assistant director business development for the Middle East at Baring Asset Management. He will be responsible for growing Barings' mutual fund and hedge fund business in the region. Young has 10 years' experience in investment sales, both in the UK and the Middle East. Prior to Barings, he was at Cofunds and Legal & General.

NAME: CHRIS TUSHINGHAM

TO: WALBROOK GROUP

FROM: PROMOTION

Chris Tushingham has been appointed associate director at Walbrook Group. Tushingham has 25 years' experience in the international trust and fiduciary services industry. He joined Walbrook in 1996 as a senior manager and was appointed a director of the local operation in 1997.

NAME: PAUL GRICE

TO: F&C ASSET MANAGEMENT

FROM: BARING ASSET MANAGEMENT

F&C Asset Management has recruited Paul Grice as head of UK and international government bonds. He joins from Baring Asset Management where he held the position of director fixed income and currencies. He has 18 years of fixed income experience and is a chartered financial analyst and a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals.

NAME: MICHIEL DE BRUIN

TO: F&C ASSET MANAGEMENT

FROM: PROMOTED

F&C Asset Management has promoted Michiel de Bruin to

the position of head of euro government bonds. De Bruin was a senior fixed income investor at F&C Netherlands and has been with the company since 2003. He has 20 years' investment experience including previous roles as head of bond trading at Deutsche Bank de Bary and director of fixed income at NIB Capital. He was educated at the Dutch Hogere Technische School and Amsterdam's Free University.

NAME: TIM LORD

TO: THREADNEEDLE INVESTMENTS

FROM: DEUTSCHE ASSET MANAGEMENT

Tim Lord has become senior manager of the client relationship team at Threadneedle Investments. Lord will be responsible for managing relationships with a wide variety of Threadneedle's institutional clients. He was previously global marketing manager at Axa's Paris office before moving to Deutsche Asset Management in 2001 as head of client review.

NAME: GHISLAINE FOURNIGAULT

TO: NEW STAR INTERNATIONAL

FROM: GARTMORE INVESTMENT

New Star International has appointed Ghislaine Fournigault as senior business development manager for France. She will report to Philip Goldsmith and will provide overall strategy support and develop new and existing client relationships. Fournigault joins from Gartmore Investment where she worked for more than 10 years, latterly as development director, opening distribution channels in the Netherlands, France and Belgium.

NAME: COBUS KRUGER

TO: NEW STAR INTERNATIONAL

FROM: OLD MUTUAL INTERNATIONAL

New Star International has recruited Cobus Kruger as director of mutual funds. Kruger will develop global distribution relationships for the mutual funds and have regional responsibilities for South Africa and the Benelux countries. Most recently he was senior manager of product development at Old Mutual International. Other positions held include head of Absa Offshore South Africa, senior manager of marketing and distribution with TriAlpha Investment Advisors and senior manager of marketing and distribution with the Stonehage Group.

NAME: MAURO LORAN GARCIA

TO: NEW STAR ASSET MANAGEMENT

FROM: ABN AMRO ASSET MANAGEMENT

New Star Asset Management has appointed Mauro Loran Garcia as regional director of Iberia at its Madrid office. Prior to this, he was managing director for ABN Amro Asset Management Spain, where he was responsible for third-party fund distribution and institutional sales and relations. He also worked at ABN Amro Asset Management's head office in Amsterdam, where he was responsible for developing institutional business in Portugal and Latin America.

NAME: JONATHAN GILES

TO: RAthBONE INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT

FROM: WALBROOK ASSET MANAGEMENT

Jonathan Giles has been made managing director at Rathbone Investment Management and will be responsible for managing and developing existing offshore investment services to private clients and professional fiduciaries. Previously, Giles was managing director of Walbrook Asset Management and director of investment strategy for Walbrook Trust, the then offshore fiduciary arm of Deloitte & Touche.

NAME: ALEXANDRE ABADIE

TO: CREDIT SUISSE

FROM: LEHMAN BROTHERS

Credit Suisse has appointed Alexandre Abadie as a managing director and head of product development and management for the asset management division. He will be responsible for managing all product development, product management, and marketing efforts for Credit Suisse's asset management business globally. He joins from Lehman Brothers.
